Help!! Almond breeze unsweetened milk!?!
I bought Almond Breeze unsweetened vanilla milk today because I was shocked about how much sugar regular milk contained! And I tried. I couldn't have a sip. I don't think it is spoiled but it tastes really bad. It tasted similar to milk and almond but just soooooo bad! I was so disappointed that I tried putting in Truvia, some cereal, and heating it also. I eat pretty much everything well and I'm not planning to bake anything with almond milk. I just love milk so I needed a substitute.
I'm sooo disappointed now. I thought I could eat healthier. Now I don't know what to do with that expensive milk! And everyone else on the internet seems to loooooove that milk. Is it just me??

I think they all are good choices, YOu can always all your own flavoring.
It's not just you, I don't like it either. I also bought some rice milk, however, and really liked it. The almond milk tastes to me like almond flavored water, and no sweetness at all. Maybe you could mix the almond milk with some regular milk so it doesn't go to waste, but I'd just call it a loss and move on.
Almond Breeze has additives and preservatives. Try making your own almond milk. It's easy and delicious. Just soak a cup of raw almonds overnight in enough water to cover. Drain and rinse. Place in a blender with 2-3 cups of filtered water and blend 'til all the almonds are pulverized. Strain in some cheesecloth, a nut milk bag, or a tea towel. Use as you would milk. You could add some vanilla beans and some dates or agave syrup to sweeten it up just before blending.
That's strange. Try Silk Almond Milk, or their soy milk. I drank silk soy milk for about 5 months but I gave their almond milk a try and now I'm hooked. Soy milk was okay, but it was a little too thick and wasn't my favorite. I LOVE their almond milk though! Try just their regular flavor. It only has 60 calories per cup and it's delicious!
If you don't like it, you don't like it. Try rice milk. I've found that it tastes similar to skim milk. It's not refrigerated, but once you open it, it should go in the fridge. It's good on cereal, and you can drink a glass of it.
Maybe you got a bad one try taking it back and getting a new one.
I love it. Especially with granola and special K cinimmon or almonds.
