A quick question about iron?!

Question: A quick question about iron?
I eat Oats, Wheat germ, Pumpkin seeds and Raisins to get my iron source from. The reason why I can't buy other IRON foods right now is because I'm having money trouble. And I am a strict organic Vegan eater. The supermarket has very little of organic items. But anyways, is the four foods I've listed are enough for my iron source to treat my anemia ?

Raisins are very good, If you are anemic then A doctor should prescribe any needed iron.

Doubtful. You need to be taking pills. But too much iron can be dangerous to your health, too.

From VeganHealth:

"In meat, 65% of iron is bound to the heme molecule (from hemoglobin and myoglobin), which is relatively easily absorbed. The rest of the iron in meat and all iron in plants is non-heme iron (3). Non-heme iron requires being released from food components by hydrochloric acid and the digestive enzyme pepsin in the stomach (3). Non-heme iron also needs to be shuttled from the digestive tract into the bloodstream by a protein called transferring."

Here's the link. Take time to read about how much iron you need and what foods contain it. You only get one body per life. If you're not taking care of it now, you'll pay for it in your old age.

don't think that's enough, and you sure you got enough vitamin c to absorb the iron you take in? look at raspberries:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry
LOOK at how much iron AND vitamin c it has. this should be THE source of food for anyone having an iron deficit. although, some people have a hard time with raspberries cuz of the seeds (on the stomach i think), but if it's ok for you, load up on them.
i know there sometimes expensive but look around and look for specials that are worth it.

You do NOT need meat or pills to get enough iron.
Being Vegan is easy - it is being strictly organic that makes it a bit expensive, unless you can grow most of your own vegetables.
The following are all high in iron.

Beans
Peas
Broccoli
Lentils
Spinach
Cabbage
Whole Grains
Dried Apricots
Prunes
Figs
Dates
Pumpkin Seeds
Black Treacle
Cocoa
Cocoa

It depends on how much of those you eat. Keep track of the amount of iron that is in those and keep track of how much you are eating. See if the quantity of iron you eat each day is adequate. You could add peanut butter into that too, which is a relatively inexpensive source of protein, fat, and iron.

Try buying vegan vitamins. I take a vitamin with everything I need in it (including 100% of my iron) every 3 days. I take it every three days because it use to make my skin bad. I guess it imbalanced me. But try whatever's best for you.

Purchase some Ferrous Gluconate tablets (iron). They are inexpensive, and work well.

oatmeal,,cereal,nuts buy children's food
however you will prob not bring your iron up with out vitamins or red meats

I suggest an enriched breakfast cereal and some leafy greens.
