Are Vegan and Vegetarian products less fattening than ordinary products?!


Question: Are Vegan and Vegetarian products less fattening than ordinary products?
So i've been eating vegan cup cakes at this local bakery and I've gained a little weight so I stopped. I just wanted to know if vegan cupcakes or pastries were fattening. I cannot be sure if it is their cupcakes alone that caused the weight gain as I wasn't exercising and I was eating alot of other stuff late at night.

No. Calories are calories. Whether they come from butter or margarine, they are still calories.

If you eat more calories in a day than you burn in a day, you will gain weight. No matter what those calories came from.

ALL cupcakes and pastries are fattening. If you have eaten enough of them to gain weight you are eating too much. You were also eating late at night.

In the end it doesn't matter if food is vegan or not. You still need to eat healthy and do activities.



Vegan cup cakes are just as fattening as non-vegan cup cakes.

It seems like the not exercising and eating alot (particularly cup cakes) is most likely responsible for weight gain.



Fat is fat regardless of source. If you eat 100 grams of fat you get 100 grams of fat. Cupcakes have a lot of fat in them regardless of how they are made.



Not necessarily, but vegan cupcake ingredients vary just as all cupcakes do. The only difference is that there wouldnt be cholesterol in the vegan cupcake.
