No. Calories are calories. Whether they come from butter or margarine, they are still calories.
If you eat more calories in a day than you burn in a day, you will gain weight. No matter what those calories came from.

ALL cupcakes and pastries are fattening. If you have eaten enough of them to gain weight you are eating too much. You were also eating late at night.
In the end it doesn't matter if food is vegan or not. You still need to eat healthy and do activities.

Not necessarily, but vegan cupcake ingredients vary just as all cupcakes do. The only difference is that there wouldnt be cholesterol in the vegan cupcake.
