It has cream and butter in it. No flesh. Sometimes a sauce will have bacon in it, "carbonara". But alfredo suace IS vegetarian. Not vegan, but definitely vegetarian.
It depends on your definition of vegetarian.
Most alfredo sauces contain milk, cream and cheese. All three typically are made from cow's milk. The cheese may contain real rennet or a substitute. Real rennet is not vegetarian by just about everyone's definitions.
Some pastas are made with eggs, some aren't. Fresh pastas are far more likely to be made with eggs.
In other words, you may have to do some investigating of the ingredients, and you may never know for sure unless you do all of the grocery shopping and make the dish from scratch.

Depends on the ingredients. I don't think there is any meat in it, but I'm fairly sure there is milk in the sauce and egg in the noodles.
