Vegan newbie, Tips please!?!

Question: Vegan newbie, Tips please!?
Well I recently decided to go vegan, not just because of my health but just the fact that I don't really enjoy eating meat and I'm allergic to many dairy products. Can you give me any tips or pointers you have for me? :)

eating at restaurants can be pretty difficult depending on the place, youll need to take supplements even if you are eating mass amounts of leafy greens (most vegans/vegetarians dont and this leads to health problems/ deficiencies) there are plenty of places where you can read up on a organic vegan lifestyle, good luck

Many people are interested in experimenting with Raw food, but don't know where to start. Others would like to gradually work more Raw foods into their diet. And some people would like to introduce Raw foods to their spouse or family in a way that is easy, flexible, and fun.

In this unique book, Raw vegan chef Kristen Suzanne presents "transitional" recipes designed to help people experiment or migrate gradually toward the healthy Raw food diet, using techniques such as combining raw and cooked elements in the same dish, or "sneaking" Raw food into family meals. By introducing more Raw foods gradually, people's palates become accustomed to the delicious and unique textures and flavor profiles that are common in Raw cuisine.

This book has 107 recipes, including: Pastas, burgers, pizza, tacos, sandwiches, desserts, cookies, breakfasts, salads, soups, sides, smoothies, juices, and shakes.

Three bonus sections:

1. Raw Food Tips for beginners
2. Raw Resources
3. Instructions for Soaking & Dehydrating

(1) Visit happycow.net It's pretty much my favourite resource for restaurants and recipes that adhere to the vegetarian/vegan diet.
(2) Transition gently. Do it over a period of time, not just "I AM VEGAN TODAY" because doing the latter can easily shock your body and nearly force you to break the diet.
(3) Check your local stores (do you have a Martin's or Kroger near you? They're great for vegans) for organic sections that could include plenty of food ingredients, additives, vitamins, snacks, cakes, etc. that fit the vegan diet.
(4) Tofu, mayne. If you haven't tried tofu, try it. If you don't like it, you made it wrong. If you make it right and still don't like it, add some Bragg's Amino Acids.
(5) Bragg's Amino Spray. It sounds like some concoction from a mad scientist's lab but it's actually "Instant Delcious" in a spray bottle. You can find it at many supermarkets. Spray it on everything. Spray it on tofu, you'll love it. Spray it on rice, you'll love it. Spray it on ice cream, you'll love it. Spray it on your little brother, you'll..well, it can't fix sibling squabbles but you get the idea.
