Why did you become vegan?!

Question: Why did you become vegan?
Is it because of your moral views towards animals and how they are treated to make a product out of them, religion, your parents raised you that way, you just don't like meat, you treat it as a diet, or was it because of something else?
For the record, yes, I am omnivorous. This question was meant out of curiosity.

For me it was an ethical decision because I love animals and don't want to needlessly contribute to their death or suffering. I figure if I can be healthy without eating animals or their products, why not? What's the difference between killing an animal for fun, and killing an animal because it tastes good? That was my general line of thinking. I've been vegan since August last year and am healthier than ever. (:

I don't agree with the falsities of meat. the nitrates and hormones, gmos. I believe the treatment of animals should be enough to reevaluate our food choices, not to mention the ascaris and trichonella cysts in pork. Meat is full of parasites. In biology 11, we purchased pork, and looked at it under a microscope and found it was FULL of trichonella worm cysts. Still, it was the additives in meat that did it for me

Because animals are not property for us to exploit, yet again is up to anyone's opinion to be or not be vegan.

I became vegan because I didn't want to condone/support the dairy & egg industries etc. They're inhumane & cruel.

Animals. Didn't need meat, dairy, eggs... gave it up.... never looked back.

Vegan 3 years.

Ethical and environmental imperatives.

Im not vegan
