I've always bruised fairly easily...you know, actually, if anything, since I became vegetarian at 12 and vegan at 16, I've actually gotten LESS bruises than I did when I was a child. However, I was a lot more active and hyper as a child, so that could have something to do with it.

Bruising is caused by fragile capillaries in your blood. Usually the cause of frequent bruising is a deficiency in one or more nutrients. So im guessing it is because of your new vegan diet. I would look into adding more supplements to your diet. Such as vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, bioflavonoids, and zinc. A vitamin.

I've been vegan for roughly a year so far,
and I've seen no difference in how I bruise, I don't.

You should probably check with a nutritionist &/or get
your blood checked, because you could be deficient in something.
Because, of course, in a vegan diet (as in any other diet) it's not
always easy to get every single one of the vitamins/nutrients you need.

It can be a shortage of vitamins C, K, B12, or folic acid. How's your B12 level?
