To be honest I am more disgusted how fish are farmed or fished, it is in a disgusting mess. The amount that is thrown back dead because of the stupid EU policy. I already knew what was going on but watching the "Big Fish Fight" with Hugh, Jamie, Heston and Gordon all brought me more and new information to the world of fishing.

Fishing needs more support than farm meat at the moment, veg/vegans need to show their support for better practise!!

There is no single universally accepted definition of what constitutes/who is vegetarian. Many cultures all over the world accept fish/seafood and poultry as "non meat". For example, the Japanese consumed fish/seafood but do not consider them "meat". That term referred to land animals only. There is a restaurant in Shanghai whose owner is proud to announce that broth in her "vegetarian" noodles "does not contain meat, fish only". Business is good, no one seemed to mind, certainly no protesting outside her store, no Chinese "true" vegetarians telling her "you cannot call your soup vegetarian because...." The term "vegetarian" is a Western one but the concept of abstaining from certain foods like meat certainly isn't. Insistence of perfect adherence to the "rules" and th nit picking over what constitutes what, seem to be a Western affectation. For the rest of the world, culture and tradition play a bigger role, not biology nor "what you can and cannot eat" rules and certainly not the "I must fit or I cannot call myself a vegetarian" pettiness that Westerners obsess over.

well technically they're not vegetarian - they're pescatarian, I'm one but generally when i tell people that they get confused and i have to explain, so i just say vegetarian - and no questions asked. And there are many reasons people choose different diets, not just ethical ones.

I think they're hypocrite who want to feel like they're better then everyone else. I eat anything chicken, pork, beef, duck, goose, and any meat that is good to eat.

Some people say they're vegetarian even if they still eat fish, really they're a peskatarian

If the eat fish and say their vegetarian then they are seriously uneducated and fooling themselves.

No vegetarians don't eat fish, pescatarians do though.

Unfortunately the world is full of morons who pass along their stupidity to others.

Some people think that your only a vegetarian if you don't eat any type of meat. The world is wierd sometimes.

If you eat fish, you're a pescetarian.

Who gives a flying crap. Keep your eyes on your own plate.

some people are vegetarians because they dont like meat, not ethical issues

muppets who think they need a label

it makes me laugh

They want labels.....

you're not. that was simple.

I think you are thinking of Vegans. Vegans do not eat anything with a face.

Vegetarians, do not eat, meat or chicken, but they will sometimes eat seafood.

Vegans are more moral, while vegetarians, usually do it for dietary needs.

i have never heard of a vegetarian eating fish so I have no idea what ur rabbiting on about
