Has a vegetarian diet changed your life?!

Question: Has a vegetarian diet changed your life?
I am thinking of going vegetarian - no meat!
I eat about 1 lean meat a day and I really feel like i could easily cut it out and substitute vegan protein and vitamins.

I LOVE fruits and veggies :)

Anyone have experience going vegetarian and loving it?

Honestly, I've changed drastically after going vegan. Not just in my health, but in my morals and beliefs on what I think is right and wrong. Before I was very close minded. Now I'm much more open to different lifestyles/beliefs, and I think it's because I made a drastic change in my own personality.
And then of course there are the many health benefits. My nails are stronger, my hair grows faster, my skin cleared up, I've lost a couple pounds, and overall I have more energy. I've opened up to a whole new world of foods. There are so many fruits/vegetables that I've grown to love.
It honestly was much more than a simple diet switch.

being vegetarian is actually not too much different than being an omnivore, except MUCH healthier and you usually feel healthier and better
i like knowing i don't eat meat anymore, because i might as well eat my cat if i will eat a cow...
the only thing to deal with while being vegetarian (at least i have to deal with it) is people you know who eat meat when you tell them they are like "your vegetarian?!" as if its wrong, even my family is like that, but you get used to it.

im vegetarian

After I found out what factory farms did to animals, never eating them again was easy. Once I went veggie, I never had to think twice about it again. For me at least, it is a natural thing and never been an issue. The one and only thing I've ever had to take into consideration because of my choice (and i do believe its a choice whether or not to eat meat) was the discussion of how our future children would be raised before I married my husband (who does eat meat). We agreed, they would be raised vegetarian until they were of an age they could make their own choice whether or not they wanted to eat meat. That way, they never have to have it in their body if they don't want to, but they can make their own choice when they're old enough if they feel it is right to consume a animal. Other than that, it's never really affected anything else in my life.

Vegetarian for 12 years

Edit: I was raised eating very healthy, and my mom never made much meat anyways. So when I went vegetarian, I never felt any different health wise. But I bet anyone who eats straight junk food who all of a sudden now eats healthful food, regardless of if there's meat or not, will feel better. And remember, you can be just as unhealthy as a vegetarian as you can a meat eater. What you eat matters.

I went vegan for 3 weeks(the Daniels fast). I thought I would miss meat but I barely did. My whole family did this fast and we all had more energy and became more regular. No more feeling sluggish(we didn't have any junk food). We tried recipes and found some we love. With boca and morning star meat, it will make your transition easy :)

Our fast is over and we ate meat today, but the amout we consume in the future will be cut down a lot. I've found you don't need meat every day. I might try going without meat or dairy for good in the near future.

Since i went veggie i have maintained a steady weight, have healthy clear skin, brought down my blood pressure and cholestrial level. My fitness level has improved dramatically, i am now running marathons. And i an really enjoying my food without feeling guilty. Its the best choice i have ever made and i am now raising three healthy children as non-meat eaters.

I went vegan. After learning what they do to dairy cows, hens, roosters, etc, in no way am I going to be vegetarian. I lost a lot of weight and everyone tells me I look great. I know I feel great.

I don't feel like a blob anymore. I don't feel like a have a lump in my stomach after I eat anymore. My system runs more smoothly. My skin is clearer.
