Question: I'm a vegan, starting Feb. 1 2011!?
So i have lots of questions, but for now i'll just ask, Can vegans eat salt? i know that sugar is bleached & filtered with bone charcoal. But is salt also bleached? because it is very bright white in color also.

Wow, and they said there was no such thing as a dumb question...

Sodium chloride rock salt is naturally white in color. No oxidizer introduced anywhere in the process. Sugar and salt are two TOTALLY different things.

Yes they can! Iodized salt is good for you (but obviously in moderation).

Yes, you can.
And good for you! Happy vegan eating :)

Vegan.

salt isn't bleached

only SOME cane sugar is bleached through bone char... no beet sugar, or raw sugar.

Salt is vegan friendly
