My wife is a retired dietitian with double Master's Degrees in Nutrition and Biology/
It takes at least a four year degree to become a Registered Dietitian.
She likes it a lot, but, to be honest, it doesn't really pay very well and there are a lot of requirements for continuing education hours to keep up your professional credentials. Sorry to be blunt, but that is my wife's honest impression. If you are looking to make money, became a nurse, physical, occupational or speech therapist; all of these pay better than dietetics.
Check the American Dietetic Association's web site to find out specifics.
