Is it normal to stop liking meat after becoming a vegetarian?!

Question: Is it normal to stop liking meat after becoming a vegetarian?
I'm twelve and I've been a vegetarian for about seven months. When I was 4 I hated meat so I stopped eating it but then I started eating it again and liking it when I turned 6. Like I said, around seven months ago I stopped eating it, I craved it sometimes, but then I kept forcing myself to feel disgusted by the smell, look, and taste of it. Last week I went to a dinner with my parents and some of their friends, and when someone offered me some ribs I actually felt like gagging. I'm not complaining, but I want to know if this is normal.

Yes, you are very normal.

It's normal. I ate alot of ramen when I was 13-14 because id eat anything. Eventually I loved it. I got chubby from eating it everyday so I ate less and less of it as the months went by. Eventually I only ate it every few months for a treat lunch but then I noticed I didn't really like it anymore. But it was all we had to eat for lunch for a while so I slowly regained my like for it :/ BUT ANYWAY lol it's totally normal. You didn't like it and then when u were 6 u got used to it. Now that you stopped eating it again you realized once again that you don't like it. I'm sure you could get used to it again if you wanted.

Yes! I totally know what you mean. When I first went vegetarian about 6 years ago, at age 12, I still looked at meat as food. Now, years later, I'm vegan and I'm actually utterly sickened to even look at meat - fish, chicken, ribs, pork, everything! I see it all as dead flesh, rather than dinner. I see it as a rotting animal lying on a plate. I also think about "hey, what if that was my dog or cat?" What difference does it make that it's a pig or a chicken, than a dog or cat :/

Sometimes, it really depends. Sometimes the ads of meat eg at Xmas, look delicious. SImilarly some foods that a good cook makes that contain meat will smell delicious, but something generally overrides these primitive (which they are) senses & i abstain.

vegetarian
That being said please try not to look like such a snob when around others eating meat, it reinforces a bad stereotype of vegetariasn

Yes it's normal. Tastes change and adjust. When I was little I hated broccoli now I love it. If you find yourself craving meat you may need to make sure you're getting the nutrition you need from your food... your protein or fat intake may be low. Make sure you're eating stuff like beans, nuts, soy products, dairy, or eggs.

When you train your body to be disgusted by something, it will accept that. By telling yourself it's disgusting, your body believes you. It is though, dead animal... yum? not.

It's normal. Sometimes I can't be in the same room if someone is eating meat. Blech!
