Smell of Meat Forces Morrissey Off Stage at Coachella; your thoughts?!

Vegan* singer Morrissey left the stage at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on Friday, April 17, when he smelled meat being cooked nearby. The former Smiths frontman told the audience that he could "smell burning flesh . . . And I hope to God it's human," before leaving the stage. Morrissey did return to the stage later and finished his set.
I first heard of the Smiths when their 1985 album "Meat is Murder" came out, just months after I became vegetarian. For those who can't understand how the smell of meat might be so offensive, the lyrics to the title track offer Morrissey's view: "Kitchen aromas aren't very homely / It's not comforting, cheery or kind / It's sizzling blood and the unholy stench of murder." http://animalrights.about.com/b/2009/04/…

Eh, some people are really sensitive to smells. I am one of them. I can get terrible headaches from strong perfume, the smell of gasoline makes me dizzy, and I hate the smell of fish. I don't approve of saying that he hoped it was human, but I can definitely sympathize with him for not wanting to be inhaling deeply when surrounded by a horrible odor. Some people think cooking meat smells good, others think it smells bad. Those women who drench themselves in perfume think they smell good and they make me rather ill. I like the smell of garlic and others run away from it.
All of us have to work under conditions that we find objectionable from time to time.
The fact that he is a singer, and perhaps an idol to impressionable young vegetarians, does not exempt him from this basic fact.
When he is being paid to sing, he should sing.
Well at least he got back on stage, otherwise id say hes a crook.
People payed to see him and they can't help that theres meat being cooked and that he..."doesnt like it".
Good for him. I'm glad he finished the set as well, I can't imagine he'd be the type to gip people.
lol.
My thoughts
Prissy *****.
Those are my thoughts.
Being so upset with what other people are doing—when they're not doing anything out of the ordinary—that you make yourself sick just thinking about their life choices is a symptom of a mental disorder akin to getting upset and worked up about other people's religions. He needs to get a grip and get some professional help, but I doubt that will happen. He is no doubt proud to be so authoritarian and judgmental. ∠°)
It made him hungary and he had to go fetch a burger. He said that to cover with his brainwashed following.
What a wuss.
