Vegetarians&vegans: do you prefer original or vanilla soymilk? What's the calorie/fat difference?!

Question: Vegetarians&vegans: do you prefer original or vanilla soymilk? What's the calorie/fat difference?
I just can't seem to get used to original soymilk, but love the vanilla one (especially Silk----it's delicious!).

I like the vanilla silk much better than cow's milk, but would prefer cow's milk to original soymilk. I've tried just getting used to it...but...i just don't like it (the original).

Vanilla Almond milk is very good too. Regular almond milk tastes like skim milk.

I started out using the vanilla, but weened myself onto the plain. It is readily available where I live. I get it in half gallon 2-packs for about 5.00. It took me a while to get used to it, but now I wouldn't go back. And I especially wouldn't go back to cow's milk knowing what I know.

The fat content is not different. And if there is a calorie difference I don't think it would be enough to worry. But that's me. I don't obsess about calories, especially not when there is a difference of like 10 or 20 calories.

I love eating my cereal with plain Alpro soy milk.I've always hated vanilla, but the chocolate soy milk is good.

I hope I helped! Remember, it is not always the calories but the sugar to you have to take into consideration!
Hope I helped!!

I only like chocolate soy milk. But I prefer almond milk. The Silk stuff is good, but I make my own and sweeten it only with agave nectar. YUM! I use original for baking. As a person above me said, compare the labels, but I would assume that there's only a small calorie difference with vanilla flavored being the higher of the two.

I prefer the original. The vanilla has too much taste in my opinion. I drink it everyday when I get home and I could never bring myself to drink cows milk because it's so gross. You should try the chocolate one too if you haven't already.

Actually, I have never tried the flavored Silk. I do like the original on my cereal and have used it as a substitute for cow's milk in a few recipes.

Neither. I prefer chocolate soy milk. Although vanilla is good too. There really isn't that much of a calorie difference. Just compare the labels.

vegan :D

Vanilla. Plain soy milk is nasty. Chocolate soy milk is also great.

Vegetarian who doesn't drink milk cause it's really gross.
