Are hard boiled eggs considered meat?!

Question: Are hard boiled eggs considered meat?
I am a vegetarian and I was wondering if hard boiled eggs are considered meat?

Answers:

Meat is the flesh of an animal. An unfertilized egg is not the flesh of an animal. Therefore unfertilized eggs are not meat. Only mammals have a menstrual cycle, chickens are not mammals. Therefore eggs are not chicken periods. An egg is really food for the baby chicken. The egg shell is just a container that stores the egg for the baby chick. When an egg is fertilized a baby chick will grow in the egg shell and the egg inside feeds the baby chick. So an egg is food not a chicken period.

And eggs are not a dairy product. A dairy product is milk from the breast of a mammal (cow, sheep, goat). Again a chicken is Not a mammal and does not produce Any milk.

No meat is muscle of an animal. It depends on the degree you are vegetarian. Pure vegans will not touch anything that has to do with an animal (cheese, milk, etc) some vegetarians do eat eggs, because they still give you good protein without killing animals. This is because eggs sold at the store have never been fertilized by a rooster, so they are not an animal yet.

No-eggs are the ova of chickens, commercial hens have no access to roosters so the ovum is unfertilized. Meat is animal flesh, by definition. Do some research if you truly want to be a vegetarian.

i dont consider them a meat because they are not flesh from an animal and commercial eggs are unfertilized. i think as long as you make sure your eggs come from free range chickens youre doing your part as a vegetarian.

They are not considered meat but some vegans may not eat it because it comes from chickens. Really that is just your choice since some vegetarians are more strict on their diet rules than others.

No, they are not. Most vegetarians are "lacto-ovo" meaning they consume both eggs and dairy products.

no they are not

No. Eggs are not considered meat, no matter how you cook them.

No. there is no muscle involved, therefor it's not meat.

no way!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is my opinion I do not have a source :) ;) :(

eggs are not considered vegetarian food. Yes, it would be considered non-vegetarian. You can call yourself eggetarian or ovo-vegetarian, not pure vegetarian though. Good luck!

Yeah. They come from an animal, so vegans don't eat them. But vegetarians sometimes like to eat them.

duhh. there's a chicken inside there.
