What foods are best for gaining muscle mass?!

Question: What foods are best for gaining muscle mass?
I'm not looking for muscle shakes or supplements. I'm looking for foods high in protein. I thank those who answer.

Answers:

Fish, such as Wild Salmon will be a good source of protein as well as fatty acids needed. Eggs are also good. Chicken breast as well.

But remember that in order to build muscle, you must exercise. Exercise will tear down some of your existing muscle (the aches and pains of sore muscles that follow) and then over the next 2 days or so your body repairs it and rebuilds new muscle on top of it.

Weight-bearing exercise will build muscle; extra protein won't make a difference. Human breast milk gets only 6% of its calories from protein. If we need only 6% protein as infants when we are growing the fastest, as adults we certainly don't need high levels of protein to amass muscle. For optimal athletic performance, eat a high-carb diet.

The 80/10/10 Diet

You definitely want to eat beef. However, I would recommend lean meat so that you don't have unnecessary fats. Also, almost every type of nut is packed with protein, I usually eat almonds since they're very high in them. Chicken and fish also contain protein obviously but not as much as beef. Also, it depends on how you cook chicken which makes it worth it or not. I would stick with beef though. As for fish, there is nothing wrong with fish. Everything about them is good for you, even the fat. I would eat fish if you get tired of beef and nuts. Also something extra, if you are looking for some carbs, which a little is recommended in everyones diet, I would eat steamed green beans. They are very cheap and contain good carbs for you. Hope this helps!
