Did I eat enough today? Or too much?!

Question: Did I eat enough today? Or too much?
I'm awful at estimating calories:

Quaker oats snacks - 100cal
8oz salad - 70cal dressing, then the usual salad crap
Asian chicken salad from panera - 400cal?
Bread from panera - 180cal

Good? Bad?
I'm 5'9 and 121lbs-ish

A normal person should be intaking about 1500-2000 calories a day, if your calorie count is right you had about 900 - 1000 (I added in 150-250 for the actual salad). You ate too little, calorie wise, especially if you a particularly active person

Alright this is another diet question that isn't even vegetarian. Yahoo seriously needs to stop suggesting vegetarian for anything to do with dieting, and you know you can choose the section your question will show up in? You don't have to automatically go with the first one.

And no that's not enough. That's funny how you go from not enough to too much, meaning your thinking is extreme. Like you can only eat barely enough, or else it's too much, knowing that in reality it's a good amount for a normal person. Whatever happened to balance and a moderate amount?

It's not enough. Bad.

There always seems to be a pattern with these "did I eat too much today?" questions, and that patterns is, most of the people asking, ate no where near enough to sustain themselves.

If you think cereal snacks, a salad w/ dressing and bread is too much than you are either very misinformed about how much a person should be eating per day, or you have an eating disorder(or are on the road to one). I would suggest choosing healthier options, the salad is fine on occation, but be aware that you took in 810mg of sodium in this salad and most likely another 100 mg from the dressing and 440 from the bread. You consumed almost the daily recommended salt intake in one meal.

The minimum amount a person should eat in a day is 1200 calories, and even that is very low. You should aim for 2000 healthy calories each day. You need to balance out your diet better, add more beans, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, seeds, nuts, etc. Limit the junk food(sugary snack, junk food masks as healthy(the salad).

Eat when you are hungry, and choose whole, fresh foods. Be sure you are eating at the very least 3 meals per day, but aim for 5 small meals.

Not enough! You need at least 1,200 for a NONE ACTIVE person... 1,500 if you work out a bit.
You should up your calorie intake a bit... I was a 900 calorie dieter (and then went all the way down to 600) and now I gain weight SO easily, and my period left me and never came back! (Yes, I am female bodied. And even though I have a good hip size now for PMS, it hasn't comeback for a year now. If I wanted to have kids, I couldn't. I'm totally messed up hormones wise. Also eventually fainted during fencing class. My body became a wreck.)
You still have a chance if you stop now...

a kid should have around 1500 cals a day
and an adult should have 2000 cals a day
and that is if you do at least 30 mins of exercise as well.

Too little. Sounds like you're skipping breakfast.
