Where can I get 100% pure icing sugar? (without anti caking agent)?!


Question: Where can I get 100% pure icing sugar? (without anti caking agent)?
I am trying to make Macarons, but I can not find so called pure icing sugar....

Icing sugar or Powdered sugar in the US, it finely ground sugar with a cornstarch additive in it not a caking agent with out the cornstarch/corn flour as it known it the UK it would be super fine castor sugar, the cornstarch/flour is what makes it Icing sugar, even if you tried buzzing it in a Magi-Mix all you would get it fine sugar not Icing sugar.



If you live in an area with a large Jewish population, you might be able to find powdered sugar without corn starch in a Kosher market, or in the Kosher for Passover section of the market, in the weeks preceding Passover (early spring). Sometimes it has potato starch instead, however, so check the ingredients.

If not, they say you can make your own by grinding granulated sugar in a blender or food processor. I've never tried it.



Hi, there! I think you probably already have some in your cupboard. Icing sugar is another name for powdered sugar. Powdered sugar is simply finely ground white sugar. In case you need to know more, have a look at the link below. I love macaroons! Happy baking,
