I need advice. Re: Vegetarian?!

Question: I need advice. Re: Vegetarian?
iI'm so saddened and confused right now. I care about animal suffering, and I care about my health, and I care about the planet... But I just cannot "care" about fish and shellfish... I just can't. I went "vegetarian" for the new years and I REALLY want to become a vegan. However, I just can't empathize with the fish, and I believe omega's found in fish are fantastic for health... I have NEVER found a vegan or vegetarian "fish". I absolutely KNOW I shouldn't be calling myself a vegetarian, but the truth is, I eat vegetarian 99% of the time and only have the occasional fish or shrimp, because my boyfriend is an omni and sometimes takes me out to places where there is no good vegetarian option (just a house salad and a bread stick.... at a mediterrainian place I had to get 3 small appetizers instead of an entree because they had ZERO vegetarian options except for some appetizers...). I don't WANT to be a hypocrite, but I just can't... do it... I enjoy fish too much and I can't adequately sympathize with them. Can someone help me, is there a vegan "fish" product out there so I can buy it to cook when my boyfriend wants to have fish, or am I doomed to be a perpetual omni?

It's really stupid for an Omnivore to be a vegetarian or vegan. You were meant to eat meat and you won't help by not eating it because everything else will keep on eating it. Besides you would deny millions of animals from ever living at all if we all quit eating meat...

You are right, the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish are extremely healthy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with eating fish; don't let anyone try to guilt you into not eating it.

Also, if you were to go vegan, you would be missing out on vitamin B12 and would have to take it artificially, in a way that the body is not intended to intake it.

The "Bottom Line" is this:

Metabolisms vary a lot. Some folks do fine...even thrive on a vegetariran, even vegan diet...but OTHERS DON'T. I speak from experience. Suggest you go with a sensible compromise, as you might term it. I WOULD include fish and eggs, myself.

watch finding nemo. its sad about fish. hahahh but dont worry lots of vegetarians don't include fish as being part of vegetarian. What arey ou doing for enough animals is good enough!

Anyone who doesn't eat meat should be named and shamed in their local press, like how pedophiles are in some states.
