Vegetarians deprive themselves of meat, gelatin, and cheeses that contain animal rennet. Vegans deprive themselves of all animal products, including dairy, eggs, and honey.

Vegetarians don't eat meat, yes fish and chicken are considered meat too.
Vegans don't eat any animal products. (Dairy, eggs, and honey are out of the question).

Depending on whether they went vegetarian/vegan animal cruelty reasons, they won't wear any real leathers or fur. Both of them stay away from foods and products that contain gelatin, animal lard, chicken/beef fat, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and so on. All these are from slaughtered animal parts, so these won't be included in their diets.

Vegetarians don't eat animals. Vegans, in addition, don't eat anything which came from an animal (such as eggs, dairy products, honey, honeycomb, propolis, royal jelly, caviar, roe, bone-char-filtered sugar, gelatin, casein, rennet).

Unlike vegetarianism, veganism is more of a lifestyle thing than a diet thing. Vegans avoid (as much as they can) using things (clothes, toiletries, cosmetics, supplements, furniture, etc.) which contain animal products or were tested on animals - so no lanolin, beeswax, shellac, wool, angora, alpaca, fur, felt, silk, suede, leather, sheepskin, feathers, fish scales, seashells, pearls, isinglass, bone china, etc. - and try not to contribute to nor support activities which may kill, harm or exploit animals (circuses, rodeos, bullfights, racing, show-jumping, hunting, etc.).

Vegan!
