Do you have a bookstore near you? If so, chances are there's a cookbook section, and perhaps even (nearby) a vegetarian/vegan section.
My boyfriend recently went vegetarian (I've been one for much longer than him), but he was a total carnivore. I bought him a couple cookbooks for us to try (we live together) like "meatless recipes meat-lovers will devour" and "meatless recipes for the meat-lover!". He LOVES them. Some of them use fake meat (like fake ground beef), but others just are more protein-oriented foods, which may help satiate your meat desires. Besides cookbooks, you relaly COULD try some of the fake meats just on their own (make spaghetti and add the fake ground beef to the tomato sauce, try a veggie dog, try a veggie burger, try 'chick'n nuggets' (name of product), try fake chicken strips, etc! There's SO MUCH stuff out there! You just have to find something that suits you, and trust me, you WILL find something!
STILL craving the real thing? Watch a slaughter house video. I'm serious. I could not even entertain the idea of eating, for e.g., beef, after I watched a cow tortured to death.
Keep an eye on your health. Make it a new interest. Make it fun. You could be simply malnourished. When you become vegetarian, you need to find other foods to replace the ones you take out. That doesnt mean you SHOULDN'T be a vegetarian, it might just mean you haven't branched out enough yet, or aren't sufficiently informed! Many of the veg books in the cookbooks section have a significant section that is JUST being healthy while being vegetarian! Remember, your health should be a concern, and you STILL need to make sure you're getting what you need, irregardless whether you're eating omnivorously or a vegetarian diet (or any other diet!).
Your cravings might be related to a nutritional deficiency. Like, you may not be getting enough protein, iron, vitamins, or amino acids anymore now that you're not eating meat. Our bodies often give us cravings when there's something important missing from our diet. Check out this website - it might help.
I admire you for taking a moral stand! Be sure you're taking care of your body at the same time.

I think I understand. You are morally in on the vegetarian side, but you have been eating meat your whole life, and, lets face it, it tastes good! A lot of people eat meat, and I'm not going to judge you with your decision, but if you are craving meat, it probably means that vegetarianism isn't for you. There's nothing wrong with that, you should just rethink your decision. Maybe this isn't right for you. I think you should really try, if this is important to you, to hold out. Addictions can be hard to break out of. I think you can do it. So... go for it!
Since you "don't really care about health", you're probably lacking nutrients which is causing you to crave meat. Try eating a well balanced diet and I'm sure once your receiving the proper amount of nutrients those cravings will nearly disappear.
Try following the vegetarian food pyramid: http://www.vegetariannutrition.org/food-…
Even though you say "I don't care about health", you will when you're in the hospital because you're deficient in nutrients. You can't just cut out meat without replacing it with something else. Why don't you try mock meats? Morning Star is an amazing vegetarian brand. Plus, since you're new to being a "vegetarian", you'll still have the cravings for a while.
Oh yeah, fish and seafood is meat too.
I'm really not trying to sound rude or anything. But remind yourself why you became a vegetarian by watching videos of how the animals are killed. I don't know about anyone else, but I can't see myself craving something that came from those videos.
Eat stuff lik chips and stuff from da candy store. if ur losin weight, i got nothin
Congrats on your decision. I too am a pesticarian, and have been for a number of years. I grew up southern style on pork chops, burgers and country ham but gave it all up during my first year in college.
One thing that helped my cravings was to eat vegetarian substitutes for meat. I think that my cravings were more psychological than physical, so it really helped me. Eating seafood all the time can get really boring! I live in a metro area with diverse cultures, and have found buddhist chinese restaurants and even soul food diners that are vegetarian and vegan. I've had veggie meatballs, bbq ribs, burgers, duck, steaks-- you name it! They are veggie comfort food and very filling. Now I can find many delicious entrees at the local grocery, but I have collected many great cookbooks over the years that tell you how to make the veggie meats from scratch. I've put a link to a few favorites in the source box. You can get them on Amazon.
I hope all goes well for you in your journey.

You need to make sure you are getting enough protein and fat in your diet. If your diet is too high on carbs, not only will you be unhealthy, but you'll always feel like you're missing something.
Another thing that helps is to work at vegetarian cooking. If you just subtracted things from your diet instead of exchanging them for other, different things, the lack of variety may drive you crazy. Learn how to make vegetarian versions of your favourite foods and try some new ones. Use fake meat products some of the time. My omnivore friends and family say the fake ground beef is just as good as the real kind for tacos, whereas they turn up their nose at most fake meat.
Finally, time helps. After a couple years, meat just becomes "not food" and picking something else to eat is automatic.
Then don't be a vegetarian. Your body is trying to tell you something.
