A vegetarian diet that's full of sugar can lower your immune system, such as the chocolate donut diet an ex-boyfriend had many years ago. OTOH, a healthy vegetarian diet rich in phytochemicals (from fruits and vegetables) can strengthen the immune system.



First off, it is Vegetarian. Secondly, very rarely. Unless you are eating foods from your local 711 24/7 and never consume a fruit or veg, it will be difficult to lower your immune system. You may notice that your body changes in the way it gets rid of waste but that usually doesn't happen until you have eliminated meat for a few months and it is just the bodies way of getting rid of the cr*p you were eating before. Do some open minded research and you will understand the lifestyle better. Whatever you read, the only vitamin/mineral you can not obtain from a vegetarian/vegan diet is b-12 and there is a long story behind that.



No, I don't think so. Unless you are not eating well, you can weaken your immune system on any diet. If anything you are most likely to increase you intake of fruits and vegetables which strengthens your immune system.

Features of a vegetarian diet that may reduce risk of chronic disease include lower intakes of saturated fat and cholesterol and higher intakes of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, soy products, fiber, and phytochemicals."

Actually, it improves it. A balanced vegetarian diet improves the circulation, which allows the body to better assimilate nutrients, and boosts the immune system.



It didn't happen to me. Any diet that is inadequate can have a negative impact on your immune system, whether it includes meat or not.



If you use common sense a vegetarian diet is extremely healthy.



If you only eat cereal and salads, yes. But if you eat a varied diet, no.
