Ham and cheese omelet, turkey sausage, hot chocolate with pieces of chicken in it

Some healthy breakfast options are:
- Fruit salad with a dash of honey and yogurt
- Muesli with a dash of honey and yogurt
- Porridge with skim milk, honey and fresh berries
- A poached or boiled egg on whole wheat / multi grain bread
- Healthy cereal with skim milk (ie: special k, just right, weet-bix)
- Baked beans on whole wheat / multi grain bread
- Fruit smoothie (ie: banana, berries, yogurt, skim milk and honey)

Basically for a healthy breakfast, you want to steer clear of sugary cereals and deep fried foods (ie: hasbrowns) Protein is great for breakfast to give your energy levels a kick start, such as baked beans, eggs and bacon. Try to avoid cooking eggs and bacon in a lot of butter and oil (poached and boiled eggs are best as you aren't adding anything to them) and grilled, rindless bacon is the healthier option. Also avoid adding sugar to cereal :)

EDIT: Oops didn't realise it was under the vegan / vegetarian section... omit comments about bacon, substitute dairy products for soy based dairy products and exclude eggs if vegan :)

Fruit! It digests quickly and seamlessly and will leave you with more energy than other foods. For example, have a bag of grapes, or blend some bananas with water. Read my source for an explanation why fruit is the best fuel for humans, but the only real evidence is experience. Have a few pounds of your favorite fruit for breakfast (nothing else but water) and see if you can feel the difference.
