What is the measurement to replace canned beans with cooked ones?!


Question: What is the measurement to replace canned beans with cooked ones?
Canned beans have lard in them right? I don't eat hog products, so how can I substitute bagged beans for a 15 oz can. I always forget to cook chickpeas after I soak them and have made a few salads with them just soaked. Didn't turn out, though my ex boyfriend prefers them that way now.

Also, what are some other lard products?

Answers:

Refried beans and Pork and Beans use lard... most other whole beans do not use lard.
Look on the ingredients list.
