Whats the best way to cook asparagus.?!
Answers:
Flash steam so it's still crisp and retains nutrients. Vegan, I dunno; I just put lemon and garlic and butter and s&p on mine, but I don't think you can have butter. You can sautee it in olive oil with garlic and red chili flakes and S&P, too. You can make soup with the asparagus, onion, garlic, and broth.
Steamed -- cut off the tough ends and place in steamer. Cook in a pot with boiling water for about 6 minutes or until desired tenderness.
Roasted -- cut off the tough ends and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and crushed garlic (or herbs like tarragon). Cook in a moderate oven (350 degrees F.) for about 10-15 minutes or until desired tenderness.
Hope this helps.
I steam them and then saute them with garlic.
if you have nutritinal yeast flakes, put the garlic in a plastic bag, pour oil over them and then pour the flakes and shake it all up. then take asparagus out of the bag, put it in tin foil and bake it.
peel the ends of the stems ( the end away from the bud part).
Steam or boil lightly about four minutes. The bud parts need very little time in the water.
Thick asparagus can hold up in boiling water longer.
Serve with soysauce or silken tofu with curry sauce. It's so good this way.
Steaming them. It kills a lot of the bacteria, maintains nutrients. And it also tastes great.
Probably the healthiest form of cooking asparagus.
Like the first girl previously said. I agree.

I love asparagus sauteed with garlic and mushrooms, but sauteeing asparagus is tricky. I like it steamed too.
I do love steamed, but my favorite favorite is sauteed until just browned with garlic and occasionally mushrooms, DELICIOUS!
Dude, they taste awesome if you first steam them then saute them with onions n add some seasonings of your choice, best way to eat em
