See if you can find a church that's open. They should have some canned food at least.
You could ask your parents to wire you money.. or you could just get a job. Even a low-paying job, working at Subway or a non-profit, like a local animal shelter, is certainly better than NO job at all.
You could also, if you're really starving, go to a food pantry. Since you must have a computer/internet, you can find one in your area, but it's not really fair to leach off someone who is legit homeless and take their food away from them, when you could have a job yourself, considering you're paying for an education right now.
My school (and most post-secondary schools) have special food banks specifically for students! Take advantage of it, it's there just for people like you! My school gives plenty of free fruits/veggies as well as other basics and nonperishable items. Contact the Health Organization or couselling services on campus, they'll point you in the right direction.
If your school does not offer a food bank, google "food bank" and then type in the name of your city, you'll get a phone number. Where I live, I have to call that number and request a food box. They ask questions about my income, tuition fees, amount of classes I'm in, where/if I work, and how much rent/bills are. They take all these things into consideration before approving you. When they do approve you (and they will, you're starving), you will have to go pick it up at a specific location or else apply for assistance and then they'll deliver it to you.
Starving university student with plenty of experience in acquiring free food.
You can go to one of those john 3:16 missions & get a free meal.. May also try calling up some churches & asking if they have any food available to you. You can also call around & see about food programs in your area, for future emergencies..
If you're truly desperate, put an ad on craigslist & see if anyone would be kind enough to give you some groceries- ramen noodles, a hamburger chub, anything.. Or offer to share their table with you for a meal. I'm sure someone would be willing to help you out, you'd just have to be willing to trust 'em.
You could also call to restaurants and fast food places in your area & talk to the managers & see if they would be willing to help you out, since you're so hungry.. Maybe offer to do some dishes or help out or whatever, but you're just really hungry & need some kind of food. You can also call bakeries and such & see if they have any bread or anything they'd be willing to give you.
You could also ask a friend if you can bum some food from them... Or go home & ask your mom/dad/brother/sister/grandma/aunt/uncl… if you can have some food.
Yeah visit a few dumpsters behind supermarkets and you'll find enough to feed yourself and all your freinds. Here in Australia we have a group called Food Not Bombs which goes out a collects food from dumpsters, cooks it up and gives it away for free. They bake cakes and everything. And no it isn't garbage, it's good food which is thrown away for lots of odd reasons. They leave the rotting nasty stuff behind.
Anyway supermarkets tend to have the best variety of items, but I find bakeries usually have heaps of bread (that is if they don't already give it to shelters and farmers to feed their animals).
Are you serious....hmm....there may be food stamps available. Also do you have any friends, you can ask your friends or parents for help. Also try looking up 'safe sun gazing'. You can get some calories directly from the sun. Worst case, write up a sign saying 'hungry' and someone will help you. Will pray for you. Good luck!
A lot of times fast food places throw out food at closing time. Wait out by the dumpsters and ask if you can have it instead of them throwing it in the dumpster. Usually they're so shocked they'll give it to you - at least the first time. That's how I survived running away from home as a kid ;)
Perhaps you should think about getting a job. I know PLENTY of people who work and go to school. Many colleges even offer their students jobs on campus.
Get a job and buy some food...
