Calcium oxalate concentration question?!

Question: Calcium oxalate concentration question?
2 questions here...

A reaction is CaC2O4 <-> Ca(2+) + C2O4(2-).

In one test tube, a soluble salt, (NH4)2C2O4 is added to the above. In another, a moderately weak acid, H2C2O4 is added.

1) If the weak acid is used, should the solution be made acidic or basic to achieve maximum C2O4(2-) concentration?
2) Would the acidity of the solution be of more importance in the precipitation of the salt of a strong acid or in the precipitation of the salt of a weak acid
