How can people think that killing animal for food or clothing is murder?!

Question: How can people think that killing animal for food or clothing is murder?
I mean how ignorant do you have to be.

Answers:

Vegetarians tend to use emotionally charged words in their arguments, rather than more commonly used terms.
Frequent examples are:
murder= harvest of any animal
torture= raising of livestock
sentient being= any animal commonly used for food
blood junkie= psychopath= somebody that fishes or hunts
corpse muncher= pus chugger= somebody that eats meat
cruelty= any interaction between humans (except vegetarians) and animals
ignorant= troll= anybody that disagrees with a vegetarian
meat eater= carnivore= non-vegetarian
forcibly raped= why dairy cattle give milk
racist= speciesist= anybody that doesn't consider all animals, including humans, to be equal
uneducated= anybody (including doctors) that does not promote vegetarianism
skinned alive= how fur is supposedly obtained
slaves= animals which create a byproduct used by humans
ripped from their families= applies to many types of animal usage
this day and age= the time period during which vegetarians have decided that the rest of us don't "need" meat
justify= excuse= something vegetarians feel they have the right to demand from non-vegetarians

This type of language is used to maximize the emotional impact of a statement in order to exaggerate its meaning.
Interestingly, when it suits their purposes, vegetarians use the opposite technique when they want to minimize or dismiss an idea.
Examples:
clump of cells= an aborted child
just to satisfy your taste buds= the only reason people eat meat

Vegans and vegetarians on yahoo answers

Because they don't understand or like nature. Its the way it works. Every single life-form on this planets exists at the expense of another life-form. Animals either kill for food or get killed for food. Its been this way on Earth since there were life-forms on it and it will always be this way.

Even the fanatic vegans that call omnivores murderers kill animals with their diet. That's what makes it so funny. They condemn others but do the same thing they are condemning. Trillions of insects die each year from pesticides, countless other animals like rabbits, moles, mice, birds, snakes, turtles, and many more also die each year from planing, harvesting, and shipping the very foods these same fanatic vegans eat.

Nature is not murder and those who think it is are idiots.

Because they are crazy!!! What I can't stand is that people get so emotional about animal rights. For example if a dog gets killed, people get so pissed, cry, and sue. But if the animal is a cockroach, no one gives a crap. All animal lovers are the biggest hypocrites in the world. All the care about are the lives of cats and dogs, not an ant or a spider. All living things have feelings including plants. (Watch MythBusters). If you are going to be an "animal lover", support the rights of all animals, not just the "cute" ones. And if you aren't going to support all animals than leave those people alone. If you are an animal lover, maybe you should think twice before stepping on that cockroach because it is a living thing and has as much right to live as a dog or a cat.

It IS murder. AND, you don't see people walking through the streets wearing jackets made of humans. You'd be terrified. Animals are terrified too, vegetarians are just much more caring and considerate than other people.

It is murder because you take their life away for your own pleasure. In looking nice or having a good meal. You stop being ignorant !

Cara Tobiason I tottaly agree with you !!

"with Malice aforethought"

Hiding behind the label "human being" and making it OK to maliciously kill another living creature, does not mean you are not murdering.

to some extent, youre right. this explains it:

well it IS murder. i mean, how would you like to be killed and then eaten, or have your skin draped around another persons body to keep them warm ??

It is a personal belief. How ignorant of you not to respect that. You are the one shoving your opinions down our throats.

it's a part of the whole food chain and cycle of life.

It is not ignorance, unless it is by choice. One of the best ways to dull a feeling of guilt, or to gain a purpose in life is to take up a cause. A common choice is "protecting innocent, defenseless animals from slaughter."

I'm not sure. Other animals kill for food. For some reason though, when it's humans doing the killing, it's suddenly wrong.
