i occasionally will grind it up with cheese, and veggies and brown it on bread under my broiler

I don't know why the ingredients don't mention that the meat in it is mechanically separated pork because it is.

Haaaa... Becuase on the mainland you can get other nonpreserved meats cheaper which are way better for you. Also most kids in the states have never even tried it. They just hear people joking about it and go with the flow.

Spam is huge in Hawaii. Spam is one of those things: You either like it or you don't. They even make spam sushi in Hawaii! I personally think it's okay. When I was younger I made quite the sandwich with spam after school days.

Yuck! It's all processed meat, just the leftover scraps after processing. My ex husband used to fry it and make a sandwich with it..gross!! But that was only if he could sneak it into the house because I didn't allow him to buy it.
