I use lentils as the main source of protien. Yogurt is fine too (sometimes I have yogurt instead of lentils).
here is a simple and delicious lentil soup recipe.

Nuts are fine as long as you soak them overnight in water. You can soak almonds in water overnight, and peel the skins and eat them. Soaking them makes the protein in nuts easier for your body to absorb. If you are getting enough calories, you are getting enough protein. Like the above answerer said, it is a myth, so don't worry about protein much. Good luck!
Yes it can. But if you have options, it would be much better to "diversify" so to speak. Personally I don't subscribe to having a "main source" when it comes to eating. If you have options, use them if only to avoid getting "bored" with the same food day in and day out.
It is also a misconception that because protein is almost ( not absolutely) found in many foods, that the quantities in these foods are sufficient to meet daily needs. That's just like vegans saying there is b12 in spinach without realizing that spinach contains b12 analogues or that you need to eat 23 cups of spinach to meet daily b12 requirements if at all.
I pig out on yoghurt and I love it.
I am addicted to Chobani- you should try it, it's thick and sumptuous and SO tasty.
I love yoghurt, and it can be plain, fruity, thick, thin, etc lots of variety, and it's goo d protein.
It's a common misconception that people don't get enough protein especially vegetarians and vegans. But protein is in almost everything.
People really don't digest dairy. Eat a lot of beans(black, brown, etc). Protein supplements are unnecessary, and most people don't digest supplements too well, either. Something the pharmaceutical industry implanted in people's brains is that they need to supplement their food. Sorry, but if one is eating a healthy diet, they shouldn't need supplements.
this site has a huge list of vegan sources of protein
