Do Veggie Burgers cause you to gain weight?!

Question: Do Veggie Burgers cause you to gain weight?
I love eating veggie burgers but lately it has seemed like I have been gaining weight. Now this could just be from all the stress I'm having from school and work but I want to know if the veggie burgers have any hand in my weight gain.

If you eat a lot of them then yes. There are a lot of different veggie burgers out there but just being "veggie" doesn't make them low fat or low cal.

Avoid any kind of processed food. Too much of any cooked food or processed food will always cause you to gain weight. The only thing that you can eat as much as you want without fear of gaining weight is fresh fruits and veggies. So make sure you have atleast 50% of your calories from fruits. Whenever you get hungry, snack on fruits like apple, banana, grapes or dry fruits; or fresh veggies like baby carrots or snap peas etc. Good luck!

Veggei BUrgers are still burgers.
Some of them are really fattening.

The salads at McDonalds are like the most calorie laden items on the menu.

There is oil, fat, all kinds of fattening things in a veggie burger. Not all of them of course, but some of them. THe Morningstar ones are SO TASTY and quite fattening.

you should be staying away from processed foods. you can bake a portabella mushroom in olive oil, and (i havent tried it yet) its supposed to have the same taste and texture as meat when prepared correctly
heres another resource for you (since you sound like a new vegan/vegetarian)

OF COURSE!!!
unless you make them yourself from home a lot of them contain so much fat/carbs
especially if you are getting them from takeaway restaurants

Processed foods really aren't good for you. Most veggie burgers are full of a lot of crap. Bring foods from home to eat.

well, they still have calories, but not enough to make to exceed your current weight
