what do you eat as a vegetarian?!

Question: What do you eat as a vegetarian?
Im considering becoming a vegetarian and wanted to know some tasty dishes that vegetarians enjoy

Answers:

I eat everything I want.\PIzza, pasta, burritos, indian food chinese food, noodles, potatoes
fries, cakes, pies, salads, casseroles, lovely soup and bread, baked vegetables with cheese, rice, all kinds of everything.
If you really don't know what kind of food you will eat, then look into it, you can eat anything you want and for instance, there is a range of food called AMy's. ALl of them are vegetarian. here's the link.
Not saying you should only buy these, but you'll get an idea, it's just food, normal food.
This is the INdian food category, but just search the site, you really can eat anything, and anything can be got in Non meat form.

^wow :O

There are different types of vegetarians..
Like lacto-ovo's still sometimes eat eggs.
A regular vegetarian eats fruit, vegetables, tofu, anything containing milk products, legumes, soy products, pasta, seitan, bread, etc..
Some dishes you could try: tai stiry-fry, fruit salad, potatoe soup, salad with homemade dressing, spaghetti with soy meatballs, pancakes with smartbacon and fried potatoes, cheesy nachos, avocado dip with tortilla chips, pizza with fried veggies and ranch dressing as the toppings, sandwiches with veggies and anything you want, fetticinni alfredo, stuffed green peppers(rice, beans, cheese, mushrooms, and spices go in it).
Try looking up vegetarian websites and blogs.
Or go to any bookstore and find veggie cookbooks..grouse through them and get good ideas.
Goodluck

Well i was a vegetarian about 2 years ago so i can help you with this. as a vegetarian you can pretty much eat anything everybody else can eat (except for meat obviously) so i you can eat spaghetti, bread, any type of pasta. it really depends on the "Type" of vegetarian you are. when i didn't eat meat i only could eat seafood. some people only eat chicken or some people don't eat anything that comes from an animal. in that case your a vegan. which is okay but i do not recommend it. Anyway, Your best bet for things like sandwhiches is just bread and veggeis. Like i said before, you can eat anything that everybody else can eat just minus the meat part.
:D hope i helped!

seriously you can still eat like anything you would normally eat and just replace it with vegetarian meat. i prefer morning star chicken nuggets and morning star patties, and pretty much anything morning star brand. and boca is also a dank brand, but i guess it really depends on where your shopping and what they have...but cheesy bean and rice burritos all day son! and pho w/ tofu and veges and cheese pizza if your not vegan, which im not. and forreal. it. is. whats. up.

early morning.....I drink warm water with some orange juice (6am)
soak 3 almonds overnight ....peel the skin and have them before breakfast (8 am) [soaking the nuts helps absorb the protien easier, also eat 3 walnuts with almonds]
For breakfast , I have fruits.....melons, apple, or grapes etc....just one type of fruit, don't mix (9 am)
mid-morning snack ....1 banana (10 am)
Lunch ....i normally have a big smoothie (22oz) of fruits from Jamba Juice
mid afternoon snack....1 banana
evening snack ...1 slice of whole wheat bread with peanut butter (or baby carrots or snap peas with hummus)
night....dinner...I eat 1 cooked veggie item + 2 flat whole wheat indian bread (chappati) + lentils (look up moong dal recipe from the blog link) or yogurt (if you are super strict about vegan, you can skip yogurt, I have it once a week or so)

for what I eat for dinner, look up my blog. I put all my mom's and some friend's vegetarian recipes over there.

Basically I eat mostly fruits throughout the day, and in the evening I eat one cooked meal. Lately I have been considering getting a juicer, and going all raw. Don't eat any processed food, just naturally occuring fruits and veggies, cook them if you have to, but never processed. I would recommend avoiding milk as well, as it is not healthy. Yogurt, once in a while is fine.

What do you eat?

Good luck!

there are a few of the recipes i use here, as well as some links to vegan recipe websites with literally thousands of recipes for you to choose from :-)
