When it comes to food and drinks?!

Question: When it comes to food and drinks?
its always best to go by the severing size, right ? I'm a Vegan and I heard too much almond milk is bad for the Thyroid Gland. The USDA and FDA bull sh^ts around so much, that I don't know if I can take their advice seriously. For example, GMO foods do not have to be labeled GMO. Well if the foods were labeled GMO, then I guarantee you that costumers would stop buying those foods and switch to organic, but of course the reason for this none labeling debate is to increase the chances of selling. The less a person knows, the better for the other person to take advantage of him or her.

Answers:

be very very careful! do you know who is spreading this nonsense? dairy farmers. farmers talk to badly about soy milk and almond milk because they want people to go back to drinking their cow poison. don't listen. you never heard anyone saying it was bad to eat too many almonds and now they are talking bad about almond milk because more and more people are switching from cow's milk.

I have never heard that about almond milk but beware of where you are gathering this information. Some products do boast about being non GMO because it is becoming a concern for consumers. For vegan products vegenaise (organic) and earth balance are two processed products that are free of GMO's and say so on the labeling. Next time you are at the grocery store pick up some almond milk , read the ingredients and think to yourself if what is in it is could really be harmful to you. Use common sense and forget about what others are saying. Also, remember too much of ANYTHING can be bad.
At least you are not drinking cows milk.

I think you're perhaps confused about almond milk and soy milk? I've never heard that almond milk is bad for your thyroid. It's scientifically shown that SOY milk can be a problem for people with thyroid issues. Good for you for doing your research. YA! is not the place to find the truth. Google is your friend.

Some veggies will tell you the Japanese eat a lot of soy and look how healthy they are. But you should understand that 1. the Japanese don't eat a lot of soy; and 2. they mostly eat fermented soy products, not the fake meats, tofu, cereals that Americans start eating when they give up meat.

Oh, I disagree about GMO foods. Most people aren't afraid of GMOs. I'm not. It must be difficult to be so fearful in your life.
