Can't eat ANY grains, dairy, and sugar. What CAN I eat?!

Question: Can't eat ANY grains, dairy, and sugar. What CAN I eat?
Here's the deal: I have been sick for 3+ years and I recently found out that I have a sensitivity (or something like that) to all grains, dairy, and sugar. Soooo I have to cut that outta my diet for a while. But I'm incredibly uncreative when it comes to food and I dunno what to eat! Sooo does anyone have any suggestions of natural healthy foods that I can eat? I'm getting sick of eating nothing but lettuce. (X_X)

Have you been tested for what specific grains you are allergic too? There are so many out there that there might be some you can eat. Many people have celiac disease and can have grains, but not the processed grain. In the meantime try eating nuts, beans, veggies and fruits.

I would strongly recommend speaking to a registered dietitian. They will be able to give you the appropriate Medical Nutrition Therapy that your condition requires, they will also provide you with meal plans that can help you become healthy.

Foods considered under grains are an integral part of the human diet. You may have a gluten intolerance, sensitivity and/or wheat intolerance (i.e. celiac disease). These would require that you abstain from "certain" grains, but not all.

I strongly recommend you seek out a Registered Dietitian or Medical Doctor to address your specific medical condition.

If you have celiac disease, it's NOT that you have to "cut it out of your diet for a while."
You have to cut it out FOR LIFE.
Your body simply can't physically tolerate gluten (wheat), dairy and sugar.
My brother's family can't do gluten, dairy or soy.
Try being a 7 year old who can't have cookies, cake, ice cream, soy sauce, or ANY kind of sauce for foods, because they all have some form of soy!

Try a celiac website. They have LOTS of recipes.

raw unsalted shelled sunflower seeds
beans
fruits and vegetables

& sugar isn't a culprit you would be dead without sugar, there are near infinite sugar chains in all the various foods. The sugar you need to avoid is processed white/bleached/powdered sugar.
Even sugar cane isn't bad. Things like evaporated cane juice and agave nectar are acceptable.

Careful of eating nothing but lettuce, lettuce has barely any nutrients.

-Mix different kinds of beans together and cook 'em up! Add some spices if you would like!
-Nuts and seeds, all good!
-Veggies, and fruit if your body can take natural sugar, there is a difference, but I don't know your body so you do what you think is best.
-Try some raw vegan meals, they're all made out of nuts and veggies, and fruit in most, but some don't.

Good luck!

chili con carne! nomnomnom :P bacon and beans, steak and salad! ummm, FISH! if you look in your supermarket, there should be a section for dairy free stuff, and grain free stuff ( it's normally together ) there's some REALLY nice dairy free fudge, and chocolate. My brother is lactose intolerant so we all kind of cut out on dairy.

Meat, fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes.

I would think someone in your condition would be a little less picky about eating meat.

Fortunately for you there is a whole great big world of vegetables and fruit that you can enjoy!

Meat, fruits, water

Meat and veggies.

Steak!!!!!!

Hi there,

There are still a good number of options for you:

Nuts - either as they are or ground into a flour and used to make cakes (sugar free) and biscuits. Have a look at the Specific Carbohydrate Diet for recipes. Also you can make nut milks (almond, filbert), using nuts and water and you can use the nut milk as a base for smoothies. The easiest way to do this is to grind c100g of nuts with c1 liter of water and then filter out the fiber. Also health food stores have plenty of nut butters without lots of additives. You can dip carrots or celery into these for a healthy snack.

Soya products - try probiotic soya yogurt, soya milk smoothies (add in lots of fruit).

Fermented foods - take a look at:
http://www.probiotics-help.com/probiotic-foods.html
These will be good for your gut flora. Also take a look at the following book for fermenting recipes:

Seeds - pumpkin, sunflower, hemp, sesame - either as they are or added in with nuts to make milks
Seed butters available at health food stores

Waffles (buy a waffle maker) and make gram (chickpea) waffles using gram flour or make filbert (hazelnut) and tapioca waffles using ground filbert (hazelnut) and tapioca flour - just mix the flour with water to a thick paste, add oil and place in machine.

Lentils - add to vegetables and make a thick soup

Coconut "brownies" - add desiccated coconut to 2 eggs until you can form small balls from mixture. Cook for around 12 minutes on around 390F (200 Celsius)
