An artichoke heart is the base of the artichoke - a perennial thistle.

It does kinda sound like one of my favorite animals, but an artichoke is a plant. Artichoke hearts (the inside of the plant) and spinach makes a great dip.

I laughed when I read this. It is part of an animal of course. It's the heart of the very rare artichoke, they are endangered which is probably why you haven't heard of them.

Plant.

Have you ever seen one? The consistency is sort of like lettuce, their juicy, and their green.

No animal I know has a leafy green heart. =P lol

Their delicious. =)

...Seriously? Hahaha. Is an Artichoke an animal? That would be freakin' awesome.

Plant.

It is the plant - they are called hearts because they are the centre of the artichoke.

Plant. It is the tastiest part of the plant. Just make sure you remove the choke (hairy fibers inside)

Plant

I looove artichoke hearts

Plant, they come from artichokes.
