Just don't eat animal foods.
It's pretty hypocritical to not eat meat or products from animals, plants are living things too, to decide what deserves life based on the ability to feel pain is kind of cruel. Besides they don't even hurt the animals when they milk them. I understand that the idea of a slaughter house sounds cruel, but it's the way of life, animals eat other animals, we just do it now in a more humane way.
Which is more cruel, a quick clean kill or being torn to shreads by a pack of wild wolves?
And if you're so concerned about the animal feeling pain, then just buy kosher foods, they only kill animals in a quick and painless way. Not to mention it isn't healthy eating in such an unbalanced way, even if you take suppliments unless you're diligent about it, I don't think you'll get your proper balance of nutrients.
And I'll try to be fair since you really only asked about deserts, if they make soymilk, I am sure they make soy-icecream, but Im pretty sure most vegans eat things like rice crackers and tofu for snacks.
Here are some guides to great meat and dessert substitutes.

Try sun gazing. Look up 'safe sun gazing'. I have been life long vegetarian and thought that I could never give up milk products. But since doing sun gazing, my body chemistry changed and I started disliking milk products, and any time I had them I would get a bad feeling in my body. So I gave it up, and now I never get sick even if people sneeze on my face. Sun gazing really helps your body to change into a vegan and survive on less food. Also look up fruitanarian diet or fruitarian diet, also 80/10/10 diet. Good luck!

There are plenty of vegan chocolates. As for ice cream, try Soy Delicious. It's amazing. Cheese is a bit trickier- you can try some of the imitations- like Rice Slices, or Sheeze, or you can make your own.
There are 50+ recipes right here: http://vegweb.com/index.php?board=284.0
There is soy icecream made with soy milk ... and the chocolate that is not made with milk and some other one is very expensive so you either pay or give it up, yogurt is quite easy to find in the dairy aisle.. and yaa..
I have been a Vegan for 9 years but Vegetarian for many more years. It is always hard to give up the comfort foods like Mac and Cheese and Ice Cream. There are great plant based alternatives! I am not sure where you live but there are great options in most major grocery stores all across the country.
First thing I tell all Vegan Wanna-bees out there is to learn how to cook. It is too expensive to buy all of your food. Buy in Bulk and Buy a great Vegan cookbook. I would recommend the Vegan Lunch box for School Lunches and Veganomicon for everyday. Online recipes, Peta has a great website and so do the post punk kitchen and Chef Chloe.
It depends on what you like but there are mac and cheese recipes and I like Almond Dream Dairy Free Ice Cream. learn to love your add ins like Peanuts, chocolate sauce, fruit and whatever... it really dresses up the flavor. Smoothies are always a great alternative if you just want something sweet. Tofutti Cream Cheese and Sour Cream changed my life. lol!
I would go all in not gradually because you will start getting sick from eating it as your body gets used to not having the animal foods.
A great starter lunch for school, I would go with a salad... fruit or veggies, there are great vegan options for both dressing/dip wise.
Don't forget to read labels and I would be sure to take a good multi vitamin, If you don't or you don't pay A LOT of attention to Amino Acids, Proteins and B vitamins you can make your self very sick.
Fun Prepackaged foods that are ALREADY vegan:
Oreos, Sweet and Spicy Doritos, Wheat Thins, Fritos, Entenmann's Fudge Delights Fudge & Mint Cookies, Hot Tamales, Swedish Fish, Heinz Ketchup, Lender's Bagels, Super Pretzels... not that this should be your whole diet BUT you sound like you are about my daughter's age so I thought I would share some of HER favorites!
Have fun! Being Vegan is an adventure full of cruelty free choices, remember you are what you eat!
