It's hard being a vegetarian at school. Help?!
Answers:
Cheese or veggie pizza, vegetable soup, french fries, onion rings, nachos with salsa, salad without the meat. Try making your own lunch at home, it will be healthier anyway!
1) if you eat meat, even if its only once a month, youre NOT a vegetarian. BUT you can still BECOME a vegan!
2) there are PLENTY vegan sources of protein, you dont need meat at all. heres a list

3) your parents cant MAKE you eat anything nonvegan. its YOUR body, take control of it and take a stand for animals. heres a link on how to deal with unsupportive family and friends:

You're not a vegetarian if you eat meat, lets get that straight. You may have meatless days, but that does not make you a vegetarian. There are many things at school; Baked Potato, Pizza, Salads, Nachos. Now those may not be the healthiest of options, but if you don't find the nutritional value you need in them pack your own lunch.
You don't need meat for protein. As long as you're eating a variety of beans, nuts/seeds, and vegetables, you'll be fine.
I highly recommend bringing your own lunch to school. Moat school cafeterias serve nothing but garbage. Bring something like nuts/seeds, fruit, a peanut butter sandwich, mini salad, ect.
If you say you were vegetarian for a year but ONCE you ate meat, you aren't vegetarian.
You make all 13/14 year olds who claim to be vegetarian look like retards.
Eat a fiber bar, fiber is filling.
13 & a vegetarian and nobody takes me seriously because of people like YOU.
Try bringing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a wheat bread with lots of fiber. Also, try bringing an apple and a granola bar or even a protein bar. It's not super cheap but it works.
I was in the same boat as you are!
If you "make" yourself eat meat once or twice a week then you are not a vegetarian.
First off you are not a vegetarian. If you let meat pass your lips even once a month you are not a vegetarian. You can get plenty of protein from beans, soy etc. You don't have to eat meat to get the proper amount of protein. Sound like you need to just take your lunch to school. I love to make myself black bean burrito with organic or soy cheese. And you could have a small thing of chips and salsa for a side. The beans would be enough protein and you could add some lettuce. There are plenty of things to eat without eating meat that will fulfill your dietary needs. Me and my daughter are both vegetarians and can not remember the last time either of us had meat and we are fine.
