Do vegetarians eat cake and cookies?!

Question: Do vegetarians eat cake and cookies?
Cake and cookies have eggs in them..

Answers:

I am vegetarian and I don't eat any meat, fish or eggs. However, I do have dairy, love my milk. I eat certain cakes/cookies, but only once I've read the ingredients to make sure they don't have egg in them. Mostly, I only eat home made cookies as I know they're egg free.

By definition, vegetarians can eat eggs.

Though, even vegans (such as myself) who eat no animal products at all can eat cakes and cookies if they want to - they just buy or make them without eggs/milk etc.
I'm personally trying to be ''good'' at the moment and not eat too much vegan chocolate/biscuits/cake etc - its certainly still possible for a vegan to eat naughty stuff. :)

The Mrs Crimbles range has a couple of gorgeous vegan cakes that I like - Dutch Apple, and Ginger flavours.

Not all baked goods have eggs in them. When I was a vegetarian I only ate the ones which didn't have eggs in them. No problemo. When in doubt, I didn't eat it. Since becoming a vegan, I also avoid the ones with dairy products in them. Generally, that means that I bake my own. Which is not a bad thing. One, I don't eat too much sugary stuff. Two, I know exactly what's going into my baking. Three, I get to impress my colleagues when I take some to work. Besides, some vegetarians do eat eggs, notwithstanding the fact that I didn't.

Vegetarians eat eggs and milk they just don't eat meat. It's vegans who don't eat meat, eggs or milk. There are plenty of cake and cookie recipies that don't involve milk or eggs so yes vegans eat cake and cookies...who doesn't lol.

Vegetarians can eat eggs. It's vegans who don't eat eggs. Not all cakes and cookies have eggs. I'm vegan and I have eggless cakes and cookies pretty often.

depends on what type of vege you are. I use to eat eggs and drink milk until last night. I was on the PETA website and saw how they mistreat food producing animals. I've now going to go vegan.

Vegetarians can have eggs.

Vegans however cannot, but there are still vegan cakes and cookies- yum!

My favorite is vegan apple pie :)

The types of vegetarians vary... some feel eating a egg is not yet born and alive so it doesnt count.
