Curious about being a vegetarian?!

Question: Curious about being a vegetarian?
Im not a vegetarian but have noticed over the past year that alot of meats really just gross me out. Recently I find it more and more harder to eat the meat that i once loved. I have put some serious consideration in changing my eating habits to a more healthy way and becoming a vegetarian. My question is do you stop eating meat all of the sudden or is it gradual. I've never tried this before so this is all new to me. Any advice or simple vegetarian starter recipes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do whatever works for you. Especially if your reason if for taste and not ethical treatment of animals, etc. I also started eating less and less meat because I just don't like the taste. Finally people would start asking me if I was vegetarian. I just labeled myself "quasi-vegetarian" because I do eat fish and occasionally will eat some meat. There is no right or wrong way-- only what you choose to do!

I'm also disgusted by eating meat, though to be perfectly honest I don't really care that much about farm animals. In my country, they have more rights than the farmers do so I don't feel sorry for them at all. I'm pescetarian, and even if you decide to become completely vegetarian eventually, eating fish and seafood in the transition period can help you out a bit (and a bit healthier than cutting meat altogether imo).

Vegetarian lasagna and pizza are great starter dishes. There are a lot of different recipes though, so just search in google and you'll find some that sounds good.

How you approach the change is up to you, what you find convenient. As for your diet, research vegetarian diet on the web to learn basic nutrition, what foods should be included in a plant based diet (there are lots, so you can pick what appeals to your personal tastes) and what hidden ingredients to watch for if you plan to be diligent about avoiding animals ingredients. There are no hard and fast rules, so it's almost impossible for someone else to tell you. One tip-Rome wasn't built in a day. Be patient and take the time to know what you're doing. It isn't necessarily difficult but it's a big change for most people.

The best way to stop it when you have the momentum too. If your repulsed by something use that as your fuel. The best way to quit habitual things is in a special moment backed by a lot of emotion. The smoker that says they will gradually quit has little chance to the one that is fed up and can't believe they smoked this long and flush all their cigs down the toilet.

My 16 yr old son became a vegetarian a week ago. He stopped eating red meats and seafood. But last night after looking at websites, I learned a lot. Like Jello and marshmallows and gum have animal product in them. And the things that they do to chickens for egg laying is gross and insane. No more eggs for us. I decided last night to become one too. Read your labels.
