I have a vegetarian friend who doesn't eat any meat, fish or poultry but eats dairy products. If you want to become a vegetarian, start off by limiting the amount of meat in your diet. Eventually, day by day, you will eat less meat and therefore get used to a vegetarian diet. There are many alternatives to meat. Some brands to get you started are: Quorn, Linda McCartney's, Redwood's, etc.

My friend keeps it up by the thought of helping to reduce the meat trade and preventing animal cruelty in farms. Vegetarians also suffer less heart attacks that meat eaters!

You also cannot eat certain sweets such as Haribos as they contain gelatine (bone marrow) and animal food colourings such as beetle blood. So if you do decide to become a vegeterian, always check the ingriedients of the food you eat!

This is a link to a website that tells you which food colourings aren't vegetarian:

First, answer the question as to why you want to be a vegetarian. The word, "health" should pop up in there somewhere. There are many different types if vegetarians. Basically, you give up meat. While some vegetarians eat dairy and eggs, there are vegans who won't eat any product from an animal. If you want to stop eating meat, I suggest trying a transition. We started by giving up meat one day a week. Then we started making other meatless meals. Leftovers became lunch and we started omitting meat altogether. Ease yourself and make sure you are getting plenty of whole grains, calcium, vegetables, fruits, beans, gosh, just all the wonderful things nature has to offer! I will say that there will be some foods that aren't vegetarian that will shock you. Animal rennet is found in a lot of cheeses as well as gelatin in other foods. While I buy animal free cheeses at home I don't worry about it when I eat out. I also don't get overworked if something gets served with meat
in it. I am nice about it and go on with my life. Like when my daughter gave me a gummy bear the other day. I ate it totally forgetting it had gelatin in it! Yet I graciously thanked her and even had another one, because we we're having so much fun at her tea party! My point is is to do what
is right for you and don't worry about becoming a "vegetarian". Some would probably read this and think that I am not a vegetarian but what I do is right for me. Pace yourself, give up the meat, and be repaired to feel totally good about your body!

You should find some vegetarian sites and do your own research.

Vegetarians can eat milk and cheese, it' vegans that don't eat any animal products which would include milk and cheese.

You don't have to eat tofu.

What you can and can't eat depends on why you want to be a vegetarian.

go to wikipedia for vegetarian. There's 4 different types. I went to PETA's website last night for the first time and will not be eating cheese or eggs again or drink milk. They mistreat these animals for their products. It's sick.

Google vegetarian recipes and diet.

NO MEAT, so say goodbye to christmas turkey and ham
i think u can eat eggs though, but no dairy
