Can anyone link me to websites that back up the benefits of a vegetarian/vegan diet?!
Just sites like that. Obviously I already know these things but when people try to question me and my diet I'd like to whip out facts from websites instead of just my opinion. I've tried finding sites but most of them seem based on opinions and not facts. Also, no PETA. Thanks!

*Healthaliciousness.com is a general healthy foods site, not strictly veg*n. Awesome site!
moi, vegetarian
The thing is one isn't better than the other, just different. If it makes you feel better to be a vegan, then that is what you should do. People who try to question you, you should tell them that it is your choice and none of their business. You do not need or have to defend this choice to anyone.

It's not a website, but the movie "Going Further" with Woody Harrelson is pretty revealing and convincing.
PETA does have other links. I was on it last night.
Also Vegge Table
and tryvege.com
Just look that up in google and you will find alot of facts
No because there are no credible websites that back up such a silly fad diet. People are supposed to eat meat.

Welcome to the wonderful, fanciful world of veg*nism. There's no real research that will tell you there is any benefit of being a vegetarian. Veganism can actually make you very sick.
The majority of actual research done on vegetarians in the US has been done on members of the 7th Day Adventist church. They're about the only large population of vegetarians to research.
Like Mormons (who do eat meat), Adventist tend to live a bit longer and healthier lives than the "average" American. Also like the Mormons, they tend to have few divorces, stable jobs, be middle income class or better, health insurance, and are well educated. They don't drink, smoke or hang around with people who do. They promote the vegetarian lifestyle because it's in their scriptures to do so. Their university, Loma Linda University, has one of the largest health and nutrition programs in the US. It's also home of the ADA. You know, the ADA that tells us being veg*n is healthy? Now, if your religion included vegetarianism, how do you think the research at your university would be slanted?
