Is marzipan good/bad for you?!

Question: Is marzipan good/bad for you?
Example: I currently have a slab of it, 7cm long, 4 cm wide and 2 cm high. I want to eat all of it. When does it start becoming unhealthy? I heard that it can be good for you, probably in smaller portions though!

Anything in quantities that are too large are not good for you/ can make you feel sick. If you want eat a little bit now and save some for later.

Dig in. One roll of this delicious German (Luebecker or Koenigsberger) or Danish goodie is no health hazard. It's almonds and cane sugar. The ratio of sugar vs. almonds determines the quality. The more almonds the finer the marzipan. I envy you.

45% is pretty good. But keep the rest in the refrigerator until you have another craving. Even good things should be rationed. You got a lot of energy to spend. Do some exercises.

Almonds and other nuts contain a lot of fat and therefore calories. Marzipan also contains sugar. However on the plus side almonds and other nuts do contain protein. The answer is probably not too much or too often but a little occasionally shouldn't hurt.

A serving size is 3.5 ounces and has 427 calories. I don't know how much yours would weigh because where I am from we measure in weight, not in centimeters.

It also has 65 grams of sugar. It doesn't sound very healthy to me.

When I make marzipan its 50% sugar and 50% almonds with egg white to bind it. Almonds good, sugar bad, marzipan, lovely.

More sugar than anything.
But lovely, just take it slowly or you will feel sick.
( It wont make you ill though ) Unless you are diabetic.

Everything is good for you in moderation :)

No it is full of sugar and calories.

Go on, go for it!! I'm sure you have eaten a lot worse!
