Can my son be arrested and go to jail for setting off a stink bomb at school?!
P.S. My son is a vegan, that is why I posted my question here.

what does this have to do with being a vegan???
I hope he is punished for it.
No he wont go to jail.
I think it is normal that the principal wants to talk to you...no one said it was a criminal offense, but he may get a suspension.
I dont think your son being a vegetarian means that vegetarians are more likely to answer a question about the law...
I think it was YOU who set off the bomb and your pretending to post as your father....it just sounds like a young person typed this up.
you should post this in the legal section, you'll get better answers. i would think that they have grounds to arrest him if they wanted to cause smoke bombs might be classified as a explosive but they might just suspend him. people used to do this all the time at my old high school but i don't know what happened to them.
sure he should. he should be expelled at the very least. he broke one rule of pulling a prank
HE GOT CAUGHT!!
if ya get caught, be prepared to pay for it.
that is part of the game. don't be a sore loser.
AND DON'T RAT OUT YOUR ACCOMPLICES!!!
They shouldn't, unless someone in the gym had asthma.
he e=will no doubt get suspended
he can and will be arrested for this
Just because you son is a vegan does not mean this question has anything to do with vegan related issues. You should have found a better category
First off, since YOU are the one who told your son he can do this. I suggest you admit that to the school. It may or may not lessen punishment but it will teach your son to own up to his mistakes by example. I hope you never tell your children to do anything like this again.
Secondly, they may just expel him from that school and or any other school in the district.
I suggest you both own up to what happened and not give any lies. The lies will just worsen the punishment when the story does not add up.
As a parent I think it would be awesome to humbly accept whatever discipline they give either you or your child. That would be wonderful for your child to witness.
