Cut the frequency down to once a week and quantity to one drumstick only (for example) for the time being until you are ready to eliminate it totally.
Get some 'fake meat' (meat substitute) to replace it occasionally too.
Always eat vegetables, beans, fruits, rice, noodles, pasta and etc 1st in all your meals before bringing the chicken dish out so you are almost full to enjoy it.
It may be not easy for you but its not impossible so just try your best slowly.
You're not vegetarian if you eat any kind of meat. This is the same thing as when people say they are vegetarian, except for fish. If you eat any kind of dead animal, you're not vegetarian. You just happen to not eat cows or fish or turkey or chicken...
If you want to stop, stop. For me, it was easy because I am disgusted at the thought of eating an animal. Maybe it will be harder to stop for you. If you want to gross yourself out, watch a movie like "Food Inc." or "Earthlings".
Go to the grocery store and try some fake chicken products to help you make the transition. They are somewhat expensive, but I love Morningstar Farms' Chik'n Nuggets and Quorn Chicken anything. Or just try to substitute another food in for chicken.
Vegetarian for nine years and counting
We can only go as far as giving you some tips, but the real struggle you will have to face. We can't take away those cravings. I would go shopping with a full stomach, don't go to any fast food joints as you might buckle. Try getting some "fake" chicken meats, I hear they taste almost the same as real chicken. Get enough protein in your diet so it doesn't add to your meat cravings. Maybe watch some video's of cute little chickens on youtube. The kinda video's that make you go "awwww" It will kinda warm your heart and maybe help you get over it. Think of that little chicken saying "Please dont eat me"
silly sounding I know, but it might really help you! I'm trying to go meatless 2 days a week now (from being a hard core meat eater) and this is the kind of stuff I do to try to curb my cravings and impulsion.
I just read an article about becoming a vegan. It suggested to eat vegan for 3 days a week for two weeks. Then eat vegan for 5 days a week for two more weeks. Then try 7 days for two weeks and see how you do. You can do the same for vegetarianism. My son is trying full vegan while I'm drinking the milk we already have, eating the eggs and cheese that I've already bought last week. Then I'll try vegan. I've been watching videos about slaughter houses for chickens and turkeys and hatcheries for fish. IT's gross. Poor chickens. Maybe if you watch a few you will think twice about eating them again. Even for the egg laying chickens, they cut their little beaks off so they don't peak each other to death in the tiny cages. They are in pain for weeks.
Your not a vegetarian if you eat chicken, but when I was first trying to be a vegetarian I had trouble with this too. Just substitute it with something else like tofu. Or something else, go to whole foods you'll have a selection of things to choose from there.
Hope this helps!
ure not vegetarian if you eat chicken.
how about you read the book skinny ***** and learn about all the crap thats in chicken.
or go to meat.org and watch them beat the chickens..
sound good?
Eat a big meal before you go shopping.
If you are full, you can make better food decisions, then just don't buy chicken. After that eat at home.
Good Luck

Try tofu turkey. Season with vegetable stock garlic and onions with ground sage.
The only way to stop eating it....is to stop eating it.
Theres no secret here.
This one is sooooo easy! Just stop buying chiken, then you won't eat it!
Try not putting it in your mouth.
Well first, that means you AREN'T a vegetarian. You basically don't eat beef. Who cares if you eat chicken? It's better for you anyway. There are lot of considerations to take when becoming a vegetarian. Can your body handle it? Will you take vitamins, what will give you that protein you're now lacking?
why not eat chicken? they are ugly disgusting birds and deserve to be eaten
