I'm vegetarian what can I eat?!

Question: I'm vegetarian what can I eat?
I'm 15 and I'm a pretty big eater, I don't like much veggies, I'm a big fruit eater. Don't like nuts. But I need full meals. Any recipes I can easily make stuff with. Sloppy joes, nachos, pizza, etc? Teen food with good protein! Thanks alot!

Answers:

I suggest going to your library & checking out some vegetarian/vegan cookbooks. Don't be afraid to check into vegan sites & cookbooks, too as vegetarianism & veganism are interchangeable to a large degree when it comes to the foods you eat (rather than don't eat). Poke around online to educate yourself thoroughly about the two. It's crucial for an over all healthy & complete diet. The more you read, the more you'll learn! Some items may sound strange at first but you'll begin to see them repeated & they'll become more familiar & less weird sounding ;) One item I recommend you keep on hand (among many other things!) is Quinoa. It's a "perfect protein" & is very versatile - can be eaten hot or cold & prepared sweet or savory. Just google it for details & recipes, Also, tofu, seitan & tempeh are great sources of protein. But keep in mind that protein is found in just about everything we eat, including produce!

Good for you! What type of vegetarian are you? I am vegan, and I know how you feel to I am also a big eater. One of the hugest mistakes vegetarians make commonly is turning to processed foods, because they are not getting that "full" feeling, or are not satisfied, glad your asking about recipes that is a good sign. My best answer for you is to google or buy a vegetarians cook book, you can find them at almost any book store, in not they will more en likely order one in for you. As a vegan some of my fav products are Daiya Cheese, no dairy, also I like the Tofurkey brand of meat substitutes, they make every thing from sausages to pizza, go to your local health food store and ask about it, preferably Natures Fare the employees really know what they are talking about there! Good Luck!

Hope this helped.

There are veggie meats out there. Boca burgers are my fav. Put onions on sloppy joes, nachos and pizza. If you have vege oil, you can sautee just about anything. And put peanut butter on any fruit. My son and I just became vegetarians last week and are looking online for recipes. There's tons out there. Just google it. You might want to slowly introduce beans and nuts into your diet. Try it once or twice a week for a few weeks then add it more as you go along. Good luck.

Uhh let's see hot dogs, hamburgers, veal, steak, ham, spam, bacon, sausage, chicken, turkey, meatballs, bull testicles, frog legs, pigs feet, chilled monkey brains, crushed caterpillars, giraffe neck, lion dick, elephant trunk, warthog snout, snake(anacondas) and last but not least DUCK !!!

Yummy vegetables of course! I simply LOVE cauliflower and cream of lima bean stew, but just read all of your labels to make suite your food is, in fact, vegetarian, and doesn't contain gelatin our emulsified fats.

Why dont you buy a vegetarian cook book, they are full of easy recipes, you probably already get enough protein because it is common to eat to much.

Bacon. Bacon is totally vegetarian.

no vegatarians are not allowed to eat good stuff

Buy some fruit platters from Thrifty's if you are a big fruit eater

you ate green vegetable
