Is sea salt safe for human consumption?!

Question: Is sea salt safe for human consumption?
Do governments such as USA, Canada, and others require salt companies to harvest from only non-polluted seawater?
Please shed some light.
Please give authoritative sources as reference. Thank you!

it depends on where it's from, kind of like religion. Is the water it's from polluted? was it stored right? is it 100% sea salt or .01% sea salt? it can be more deadly then eating meat!!

It's better for you then regular table salt.

Unless you make you make it yourself, yes

yes, as long as you don't eat too much of it and don't drink sea water... :)
