Vegan backpacking/camping food?!

Question: Vegan backpacking/camping food?
Any experienced vegan hikers or backpackers? What food did you pack?

Answers:

Brown Rice Farina, Granola & Muesli are great for breakfast. Look for those that contain plenty of nuts, seeds and dried fruits for added taste and calories. Add instant soy milk to the cereal before taking out.
Whole Wheat Pastas. Couscous is a great choice because it is fast cooking (5 – 10 minutes).
Red Split Lentils, Instant Brown Rice, Dehydrated Quinoa.
Dried Beans / Bean Flakes
Dried Fruits & Vegetables
Whole Wheat Tortillas
Instant Hummus Powder
Justin's Peanut Butter & Almond Squeeze Packs
Olive Oil Packets, nuts, seeds to add to all meals to boost healthy calories and fat.

A good thing to take would be soup in a flask. Keeps you going for the first day. Take some tinned foods like baked beans or tinned pineapple because it won't go stale. I don't recommend biscuits because they go all horrible for a couple of days. Bring more food than what you think you'll need with you, buying food on a camping trip can be expensive.

Raisins or sultanas (very effective) and also nuts.
Pasta is very good for meals, or noodles.
Baked beans in a tin.
Fruit, such as bananas and grapes.
Bread with peanut butter gives you good energy

considering all vegan food is unprocessed and uncooked you can take just about anything.

I camped at a site nearest to a fast-food chain. Dun nid to bring any food. Juz ur wallet sum money and just head to the stalls and get ur favourite beef steak. :D
