What's an alternative for yogurt?!

Question: What's an alternative for yogurt?
I HATE YOGURT. but my doctor says to eat more yogurt. What is an alternative for it?

Answers:

I'm assuming she/he told you to eat it for probiotics, as protein and calcium are available in a multitude of sources and I don't think there's a reason she/he would only give you the option of yogurt.

You could put yogurt in a fruit smoothie. You can't taste it then.
Any fermented food basically contains probiotics. Kefir (goats milk), GoodBelly drinks (like a fruit drink), some cheeses (like Kraft LiveActive), some brands of sauerkraut (check the label) and kimchi (Korean-style cabbage).
If its the taste that gets to you, not the texture, you could also try soy yogurt or coconut milk yogurt, which have a slightly different taste. I much prefer coconut milk yogurt, but its a lot harder to find.
You could also take a probiotic supplement.

good belly. it's a juice. i bought some because we are vegan and my kids are on antibiotics. antibiotics kill the bad and the good bacteria in our besides, so yogurt w/ live cultures/probiotics put it back. since we are vegan we don't eat yogurt so the good belly juice is a perfect solution and it's super yummy too! also, i bought some soy based yogurt today but if you don't like yogurt, you wont like soy yogurt...

It depends on why your doctor recommended yogurt. If your doctor wants you to have calcium, eat tofu, broccoli, and almonds. If your doctor recommended it to restore the normal bacterial flora in your gut, try probiotic pills.

well if you're talking about hating yogurt from cows milk then maybe you'd like soy yogurt or almond yougurt or coconut yogurt... just go to your health food store and look. theres lots of options. kinda expensive though :P

It depends, is it for probios?
