Question: Thiamine Mononitrate?

I am doing a project for Honors Biology and i need to know about thiamine mononitrate. I know its organic but what kind of organic molecule is it??
Also I need a website on the FDA and how they determine which foods and drugs are allowed to be sold in the USA. A chart would be great!!
