Hi!

We do have vegetarian options. It depends on your location, as some locations vary in offerings.

Here are some options:

(entree) Bacan de Platanos Vegetarianos - Banana leaf-wrapped plantain tamal. African stew of roasted cauliflower, okra and coconut milk xim-xim.

(soup) Sopa de Frijoles - Traditional black bean soup. Grilled white corn and Jack cheese arepitas.

(small-tasting plate) Guacamole Cubano - Avocado, golden pineapple, fresh lime juice and extra virgin olive oil. Crispy plantain chips.

(small-tasting plate) Escabeche de Hongos - Grilled, citrus marinated fresh mushroom salad.

(small-tasting plate) Bunuelos de Espinaca - Spinach and Manchego cheese puffs.

(small-tasting plate) Tostones - Twice-fried green plantains. Garlic mojo dipping sauce.

(small-tasting plate) Yuca Frita - Cassava Cuban fries. Cilantro-caper allioli.

Hope this helps!

A Cuba Libre contains white rum, cola, and lime, none of which are made of or in part by animals.

I've worked in a restaurant, and the serving staff should know which dishes are vegetarian, and you could ask for a list. If they don't know, the chef's will be able to tell them every part of a dish, and what is wholly vegetarian. If it's not a chain restaurant, the chef's may even be able to omit the animal products from a dish while preparing it.

Be sure to specify which type of vegetarian you are, as some eat cruelty-free eggs.
It would be best to let the server know which of these items you wont eat.
I've had to deal with lists like this while preparing food, and it's an easy process for all parties.
